Open days

Please come to visit us on one of our open days to really get a sense of what is so special about our school.

Our Saturday open day gives you an opportunity to talk to teachers and students and you are also welcome to visit during the week to see us on a normal school day.  At this and our midweek open days in the Autumn term you will have the opportunity to meet Kathryn Pullen, Headteacher and Huw May, Head of Junior School. They will give presentations at each event and be happy to answer your questions.

We also run Taster Days for girls and parents considering entry at the Reception and Year 7 entry points. The Year 7 Taster Day is an activity-packed morning designed to give all girls currently in Year 6 a feel for what would be in store for them in Year 7 at Sydenham High School. Girls enjoy various activities, including an Assembly with the Headteacher, ‘Taster’ lessons and break time. Meanwhile, parents are invited to meet the Headteacher at 10.30am and enjoy a tour of the school. The Reception Taster Day offers the opportunity for girls to spend a creative and stimulation morning with our Reception Team and specialist staff. They experience Junior School life, including playtime and fun, activity-based taster sessions. Places for these Taster Days are limited and registration is essential.
