Stanley were crowned overall champions in the House Music 2011 competition on the last day before half term. Heads of House co-ordinated four performances from each house for the event. Stanley’s winning formula included a wonderful rendition of the rock ‘n roll hit Little Bitty Pretty One, complete with fingers clicking, scat singing and close harmony. A timely performance of Amy Winehouse’s great track Rehab provided a win for their Upper Senior Ensemble. Grey won the Special category with a performance of Lean on Me while Gurney’s Lower Senior Ensemble captivated the enthusiasm of the hall in Bruno Mars’ Grenade. Sensational performances all round!
