Long jumper breaks 30-year record

Following on from their success in the Lewisham athletics championships, our athletes have also now triumphed at the London Schools and Kent championships, including breaking a 30-year long jump record.

In the London games, Isabella Hilditch became a double London Schools Champion, not only winning the long jump but also the hurdles with a personal best time of 11.5 seconds – a national English Schools standard.   Ally Housley came 2nd in the javelin with a throw of 22.48m.

Isabella then went on to win the Kent Championships (U15) long jump in style, surpassing a 30-year record by some 11cm.
