Michael Morpurgo to present Junior School Awards

The Junior School is buzzing with more excitement than usual, following the announcement that celebrated author Michael Morpurgo will be the special guest speaker at the Key Stage 2 Awards Ceremony at the end of term.

During the event Mr Morpurgo will be talking to the girls for around thirty minutes and then answering any questions, before presenting awards to students in years 3 – 6.

“The afternoon is all about celebrating the achievements of our girls and we have been extremely fortunate that Mr Morpurgo has agreed to come to the school to help congratulate and inspire them to reach even greater heights in the future,” said Huw May, Head of Junior School.

To allow as many girls and parents as possible to have an opportunity to meet him and hear what he has to say, all parents and girls in the Junior School have been invited to attend the Awards ceremony.

The event takes place on 8th July in the Longton Hall which is located at the Senior School, beginning promptly at 1.30pm.
