Year 12 student Evie Richards has won the top prize in the annual Pearson and Silver Awards for students studying Classics.

Evie won the Nancy Silver Award for which she will receive £500 towards her place on the JACT Ancient Greek Summer School this July.

This competition for Sixth Formers from across the Girls’ Day Schools Trust is awarded to acknowledge outstanding commitment to Classics.

The awards committee was faced with an extremely high standard of applicants and based their decision on key criteria including academic excellence in classical subjects and a commitment to study a classical subject at university.
