On Wednesday 4 May Year 4 set out on an epic adventure.  Their destination: the Stubbers Activity Centre for their first residential school trip.  However, any feelings of homesickness or nerves were soon doused by the tsunami of excitement generated by the activities.  On arrival they were overwhelmed by the picturesque countryside and the friendly instructors and staff.

The zip line was just the gateway to a plethora of adventurous activities including high ropes, climbing, 4×4 driving, raft building, laser tag, backwoods skills, archery, paddle boarding, jet skiing, team challenges and canoeing.

The first warm sunny days of 2016 saw teachers and students falling into the beautiful, but still somewhat cold, lakes making everyone grateful for their wetsuits and warm drinks.

Exhausted by physical and mental exertions at the end of each day the school party collapsed into their bunks after a satisfying meal and a good chat.   Everyone was very sad to leave, but they had a fantastic time and can’t wait for their next Sydenham High adventure!
