This half term’s Flourish and Fly, focusing on the Girls First theme, saw the exciting launch of the Junior School’s Play Leader training for Year 6 students.

The aim of Play Leaders in Junior School is to help develop the leadership skills of our oldest students, training them to organise activities for the other children in the playground whilst improving the playground experience for everyone.

It is hoped that there will be a whole school impact on children’s enjoyment and behaviour during break times as well as helping to increase self-esteem and self-confidence in the student play leaders.

During Flourish and Fly week the Play Leaders were out in the playground every break time. They worked hard together to teach new playground games, helped students to make new friends, and ensured that everyone was included and having fun.  Well done Year 6!
