To support their introduction to the work of English bard, William Shakespeare, Y5 spent an enjoyable day in a Shakespeare workshop. Over the course of the day they got to grips with old English, the key features of Shakespeare’s plays and even had a go at staging a retelling of Macbeth.

Over the remaining weeks of the term the girls will be using this newly acquired knowledge to develop creative, extended writing pieces.
