Wednesday 26th September was European Day of Languages. Throughout the week we have been celebrating European languages in all their glory. Wake and Shake took on a French feel on Monday morning and we were delighted to welcome a selection of Senior School pupils along with Madame Parker, Head of Modern Foreign Languages, to our assembly. They put on a fantastic demonstration of the wide range of European languages that can be studied at Senior School and everyone had a go at learning a little bit of Italian, German and Spanish. The celebrations continued at lunchtime on Monday with  French themed lunch of French Onion Soup, Boeuf Bourguignon, Root Vegetable Cassoulet and Tagine de Poulet Marseilles.

Over the course of the week we were pleased to welcome a selection of bilingual parents into school to share a flavour of the languages they speak. Madame Turner also worked hard to collate entries for our Hello project. This project charts the rich and varied range of languages spoken in our school community. You can see a selection of these photos below. We look forward to celebrating them in a larger installation later this term.
