Young Enterprise Team wins two awards!

We are delighted that our year 12 Young Enterprise team, Fresh Bites, has won the awards for Best Company Lewisham and Best Presentation Inner East London! Congratulations! This means that they will go through to the next round of the competition as best in our borough. The judges were very impressed with their concept of beeswax food wrap and latterly, candles and plans for lip balms. With these additions it became clear that a shift in their marketing would be required, to better reflect all their products and secure their brand identity. As a team with a professional approach, they took this in their stride.

From the logo to the project management to the delivery to the customer feedback, Fresh Bites are a professional group of people delivering a quality product.  The judges were impressed enough to remark that this was a venture in which they might even have invested.

Here is what the judges had to say:

Fresh Bites appeared a driven team, focused on doing what was required to get the job done.  A good example was their early focus and success in fundraising.  Yet, they retained flexibility, reacting to consumer feedback, they changed their product lines and offering, e.g. larger beeswax candles, rather than being dogmatic about direction.  They were also fleet-of-foot moving from cash payments to card payments, again in response to experiences with their customers.

The Best Presentation prize was awarded to Fresh Bites for their refreshing approach to their application and their business.  The online materials were well presented and professionally delivered.

A massive well done to Sadie Channer, Maia Mattinson, Charlotte Purves and Chantelle Tabeni for their hard work – we look forward to seeing where this entrepreneurial journey takes you!
