Our Sixth Form Physics students had a fabulous day out in Central London arranged by Miss Inchenko, Head of Physics, exploring the Royal Institution where students were fascinated by Faraday’s original instruments. They then were given a tour of Imperial College London’s Physics department by a 4th year student.
Next they had the chance to get hands on with large scale versions of A Level experiments at the Science Museum and before finishing the day with a fabulous Women in Science tour at the Natural History Museum where they learned how valuable a background in Physics can be for a wide range of science careers. One of our students said,
We were absolutely electrified to see the very first electromagnet. The moment transformed our perception of modern day physics and its advancements from the 1800s to the current day
