Where girls learn without limits
Sydenham High is part of the Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST), the leading network of independent girls’ schools, and the UK’s largest education charity. Founded in 1872, the GDST owns and runs 23 schools and 2 academies throughout England and Wales, educating nearly 20,000 students between the ages of three and 18.
‘We put girls first. We are forward-thinking. We are fearless’
The GDST is a modern, vibrant organisation where girls are the prime focus. With a long history of pioneering innovation in girls’ education, and as the largest single educator of girls in the UK, it strives to be a place ‘where girls can’.
When a girl joins a GDST school like Sydenham High, she becomes part of an inclusive community which is dedicated to putting girls first; to helping them become forward-thinking and fearless. She also joins the 75,000 – strong GDST Alumnae Network, which provides an invaluable range of resources, support and contacts as she makes her way in life.
GDST girls regularly outperform their peers in public exams, but there’s so much more to a truly broad and balanced education than just stellar exam results. GDST girls are able to compete and collaborate with their peers in other Trust schools, taking part in Trust-wide events, rallies, performances and activities; they can also benefit from a wide variety of innovative GDST learning initiatives, seminars and workshops.
‘We are a family’
A GDST school offers the peace of mind that comes from being part of a family of schools with an outstanding track record of achievement and stability – one with a passion not just for educating girls, but for equipping them for life.
Sydenham High is proud to be part of the GDST family.
