Former pupils are always welcome back at Sydenham High, in and out of term time. If you’d be interested in visiting the school, have plans to organise a class reunion, or just want to let us know what you’ve been up to, we’d love to hear from you! Contact us at:  or call us on 020 8557 7066.

Mentoring and career guidance

In a time-honoured tradition, we look to our alumnae to help current pupils as mentors and career guides. We would be delighted to hear from former pupils who can offer their time by way of talks, individual mentoring or offers of work experience. Please contact us at  or call us on 0208 557 7066 if you can help.

Welcome back to the Class of 1974

We were delighted to welcome the Class of 1974 back to school on a wonderful, sunny Saturday in September. Over 25 alumnae, some of who had not been back to school for 45 years, gathered together from all over the UK, sharing photos, memorabilia and stories.

From the noise level, it was apparent that everyone had a really enjoyable time, catching up on each other’s news and touring the Prep and Senior schools!

Many people and events influence us and who we become. I had forgotten how important my years at Sydenham were and are until I (came) back in September. I remembered what it was to be welcomed by a group of considerate and kind fellow pupils who had a great sense of values, fun and intelligence. Mrs. Kern helped me take the first step in my career. My fellow pupils, Miss Hamilton, Mrs. Kern and other teachers’ thoughtfulness and care, unknowingly, shaped me significantly. Thank you.
