Head of Prep School – Required for September 2019

Closing date: 3 Feb 2019

Sydenham High School GDST is an independent day school in South London offering a first-class education to girls aged 4 to 18 years, with the aim of enriching young minds in a way that will endure a lifetime.  The Prep School, located in a spacious and light Edwardian building, is home to over 200 pupils aged 4 to 11 years.

The Prep School’s bespoke CONNECT+ curriculum delivers a variety of rich and varied thematic approaches to learning, and the innovative Flourish and Fly initiative emboldens and challenges the girls to discover their own individual talents beyond the classroom.

Following the appointment of Claire Boyd as Head of Junior School, Wimbledon High School GDST, we are now seeking to appoint a forward-thinking, ambitious and inspiring Head to lead the Prep School into the next exciting phase of its development, and play a pivotal role in delivering the strategic vision for the whole school.

The Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST) is the UK’s leading network of independent girls’ schools, with 23 schools and two academies throughout England and Wales.  Founded in 1872, the GDST now educates 19,000 students and employ 3,500 staff.
