Immersive workshops
This week, year 5 visited The Globe Theatre in London for an immersive drama workshop on Macbeth, linked to their English learning this half term. The students explored the themes and characters of the play through interactive activities, including role-play and performance techniques. They were thrilled to step into Shakespeare’s world, gaining a deeper understanding of the story as well as the historical context of the time.
In the afternoon, they also visited The Tate Modern, where they explored a variety of famous artworks and iconic sculptures. The visit provided an opportunity to connect their learning about form, texture, and creativity in sculpture with real-world masterpieces. The girls were awestruck by a lot of what they saw, it was clear they thoroughly enjoyed their time in the gallery!
