This year, Year 9 pupils are taking part in the Lean In leadership programme, one group at a time. Designed for girls and teens who identify with the girlhood experience, Lean In Girls empowers young women to see themselves as leaders, encouraging them to be fearless in forging their future.

Rooted in research and developed in close collaboration with experts and teens, the programme has been carefully tested to resonate with a broad range of girls and to foster sharing, connection, and confidence. Each session combines discussion-based topics on allyship, rejecting stereotypes, and navigating challenges with strength-building activities that help pupils recognise their own values and abilities.

Sydenham High looks forward to seeing how Lean In will support pupils in reaching new levels of confidence and leadership, nurturing the next generation of fearless young women and future leaders in our community.
