Year 5 pupils enjoyed a fantastic visit to Hampton Court Palace as a special launch event for their upcoming History topic on the Tudors. The trip provided an exciting glimpse into what is to come next half term, sparking curiosity and building anticipation for their learning journey ahead.
The children explored the impressive palace and its fascinating exhibits, stepping back in time as they discovered how the Tudor court lived and worked.
During an engaging workshop on Tudor Palaces and Trade, pupils began to uncover the importance of wealth, power and global connections in Tudor times. Staff around the grounds also treated them to a lively Tudor dance session – which brought plenty of smiles and a few energetic moves!
Throughout the day, Year 5 demonstrated excellent behaviour, enthusiasm and thoughtful curiosity, representing the school brilliantly. What a wonderful way to launch their Tudor topic!
