This course starts with looking at likes and dislikes so it enables new learners and pupils that have learnt French previously to start learning French on the same level. The course builds on knowledge ( vocabulary and grammar) acquired throughout the three years using different topics that will interest pupils and gradually introduces more complex structures and grammatical concepts to get them ready for the demands of KS4 and GCSE. Pupils are given plenty of opportunities to develop their speaking skills through role-plays, presentations or even songs and poetry . They are also encouraged to write creatively in French and develop their language of the French culture through watching French films, listening to French podcasts and reading simple French readers or graphic novels.
