Sixth Formers are actively encouraged to engage with the local community and they do so in many ways. A number of students are trained to teach at the Dulwich College Saturday school where gifted and talented pupils from local primary schools are given extra tuition, particularly in maths, literacy and science. Others choose to volunteer at local charity shops, or give their time supporting the Junior School by running clubs or getting involved with local primary schools.
Sixth Formers often take the lead in major fundraising events and there are leadership opportunities in this area as well.
Volunteering is an integral part of Sixth Form life and every Sixth Former is expected to make their own valuable contribution.
