Our Year 9 Geographers grappled with ideas as part of the Sydenham High Earth Challenge. Each group worked hard to put forward projects to either help to mitigate climate change or allow us to adapt to its consequences. A submarine used to fashion sea ice (helping to reflect the sun\u2019s energy), meat rationing, carbon capture on aeroplanes, and a solar powered cable car network for South London, are just a few of the diverse range suggested. Head of Geography, Mrs Buckler, and Mrs Dracup were most impressed by the quality of the presentations and the real potential for innovative solutions.<\/span><\/p>\n
