Lower School English

Reading and instilling a love of Literature is at the heart of the English Department and our curriculum. During Key Stage 3, pupils read a range of plays, poetry and novels to consolidate comprehension skills and introduce the skills required for literary analysis. A range of creative and transactional writing tasks are set throughout the year alongside opportunities for debating and drama.
