Pupils can opt to take German from year 8 and, at key stage 3, pupils introduce themselves and learn to express and justify opinions about a range of topics. We learn how to use the present, perfect, imperfect and future tenses and build our understanding of the language and culture of Germany and other German-speaking countries.
In lessons, we use a range of activities and resources to make learning German relevant and up-to-date, including quizzes, online vocabulary learning, as well as cultural projects on clothes and fairy stories to extend learning and make the lessons enjoyable.
