Beyond the curriculum
Junior School pupils enjoy working in an attractive mix of a large Edwardian family home and light and spacious purpose-built modern additions set within a leafy site. Modern extensions include exciting outside places as well as additional specialist facilities for the teaching of science, ICT, music, art and design technology.
There is a Performing Arts Centre with three professional venues at the Senior School; the Westwood Theatre, Longton Hall and a Recital Hall as well as the school’s eight-acre sports ground in Lower Sydenham and Astroturf pitches at the Senior School, all of which are used by the Junior School.
There are also many opportunities for organised educational and cultural visits and trips for the girls – our proximity to the museums, galleries and visitor attractions of London is something we readily take advantage of. Visitors are also invited into school to give workshops and masterclasses on a whole range of topics and activities which both educate and entertain – from turning Reception in a Rain Forest for a day to Year 6 exploring the work of forensic scientists and crime scene investigators.
