The importance of maintaining positive mental health, alongside physical health, has never been greater. Our co-curricular programme is split into three strands: Body, Mind and Soul and we encourage pupils to join a variety of clubs each term.
With a whole range of clubs and activities on offer, there really is something for everyone here. We are responsive to the needs and passions of our pupil body and update the offer each term. A great emphasis is placed on participating in activities beyond the classroom and we are proud of all we offer. Each of the activities help develop personal and thinking skills, as well as offering the opportunity to work in teams and meet new people.
In years 7 to 9, girls are expected to attend at least two activities per week. In year 10 and above, it remains important to maintain a healthy balance between academic study and co-curricular participation; therefore, girls are encouraged to continue with at least one activity a week.
During the pandemic, clubs were still on offer, albeit virtually, and in Spring 2021 a Body, Mind & Soul day was masterminded to allow pupils and staff to share their passions and in a series of special activities to work the body, activate the mind and feed the soul. This still takes place once a term with pupils taken off timetable .
