Sydenham High School GDST has a rich history of educating and empowering young women, spanning over 135 years. We take immense pride in being a part of the Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST), a network of 25 outstanding schools across England and Wales.
The GDST has consistently championed innovation in girls’ education. Pioneers from GDST schools were among the first women to achieve university degrees and pursue professional careers. This spirit of innovation endures today, with the GDST dedicated to empowering girls to leave their mark on the world in their unique and authentic ways.
As part of this commitment, the GDST is investing in our school’s development to ensure it remains a hub of innovation that nurtures learning. In collaboration with the school’s Leadership Team, under the guidance of our Head, Antonia Geldeard, we have devised a new sixth form building project. This project will last for 12 to 18 months, with six key objectives for our community :
- Amazing facilities to support a thriving Sixth Form
- A sustainable approach
- A new welcome to Sydenham High School
- Create a meaningful landscape setting for our school
- Exemplar teaching spaces for DT and Sixth Form
- Flexible + future-proof
