At the end of May, Year 12 Design students, Grace Pappas and Hanna Bollito, were accepted on to a taster course for one of the most prestigious Art and Design courses in America.

Founded in 1978, Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta is on of the top ranking universities in its field, ranking joint 9th in Best Regional Universities South

Grace and Hanna were lucky enough to enjoy a week’s placement which included a selection of taster courses plus accommodation and travel to the U.S. The only British students on the course, the girls took part in two practical lessons each day plus plenty of extra-curricular activities and trips around Atlanta, including to the aquarium. They both chose Interior Design and Sculpture and made friends from all over the USA.

Hanna declared this to be the “…best week of my life!” and they are both desperate to return.
