There were shouts of joy and lots of smiles this morning at Sydenham High School when Year 11 girls came together over breakfast to share their delight at their GCSE results.
Congratulations to all our students for their excellent grades!
- Well over a third of all exams were awarded an A* (8/9)
- 26 students achieved a strong set of all 7-9s in 8 or more GCSEs
- 44% of Science grades were A* (8/9)
Sydenham High Head, Antonia Geldeard, who shared coffee and croissants with students and parents, comments:
“I was delighted to see so many happy faces this morning. The whole year group has done so well and there are some really impressive individual stories. These GCSEs feel like such a milestone and, in particular, after all the recent coverage of the post-covid reset. I look forward to welcoming so many of our students back to the Sixth Form and the exciting new opportunities of A Levels ahead. With a new Sixth Form development on the horizon, there is much to celebrate.”
Isabella, Daisy, Jadien & Summere-Rose (L-R), all smiles and looking forward to Sixth Form at Sydenham High.
Tabitha, receiving her top grades this morning:
“I’m ecstatic! I’m really really happy. I worked hard for my RS grade after my mocks and in Art I went up two grades from a 7 in my mocks to a 9.”
Maisie and Sherina, thrilled at achieving a stellar set of results:
“I’m happy – I was nervous with all the news articles. I’m particularly pleased with my Maths and Science which were all 9s.”
Kayla and Evie, impressed by their success:
“I’m very pleased with myself today because I got 7s and above for English, Maths and Sciences.
