The Young Mayor programme serves as a platform for channeling the voices of young people to decision-makers. Participants receive support from young advisers and the Young Citizens’ Panel, along with access to various forums, networks, and school councils dedicated to young people.

It provides an excellent opportunity for those with a vision and a desire to contribute to the community and make a difference. The programme is influential in inspiring other councils to offer similar opportunities for young people.

Our Sixth Former, Llywella, currently holds the position of Deputy Young Mayor of Lewisham for this year. She has demonstrated outstanding leadership, actively engaging with the wider community to create a positive impact on young people in the area.
