In our assembly this week, eight of the Young Mayor of Lewisham candidates certainly proved themselves to be active citizens, focused on their civic duty. They each spoke to the whole school, sharing their vision for making a positive difference in the Lewisham borough. It was an impressive and thought-provoking assembly. 3 of the candidates are our own pupils and my special commendation goes to Laila (Year 9), Comfort (Year 10) and Sassy (Year 11). Each candidate bravely put themselves forward to represent the young people in our community.
