The British Red Cross has been a pillar of support for over a century, offering assistance to millions globally during times of crisis. As part of our Upper School Outreach Programme for 2023-2024, Year 10 has chosen to lend its support to this noble cause.

Year 10 is excited to engage the entire Sydenham High School community in a series of fundraising events throughout Spring Term 2 and Summer Term 1. These events provide an opportunity for our school community to unite, have fun, and contribute to a worthy cause.

It’s inspiring to witness the collaborative efforts of Year 10 pupils as they generate ideas, plan events, and execute logistics. These activities provide invaluable opportunities for them to enhance their leadership skills, market events, and oversee operations.

Recently, 10 MHU/SMA hosted a film night on Tuesday, inviting Year 8 and 9 pupils to enjoy “Barbie” together. Following this, on Wednesday lunchtime, 10MBE organized a Year 7 disco, which was filled with dancing, laughter, and sweets! It was wonderful to see the community come together to enjoy themselves while making a positive impact.

Looking ahead, we look forward to our upcoming events. On 3 May, 10 JBL will host a Summer Fair, and 10PCU will organize an American Themed Day on 17 May. These events promise to be exciting opportunities for fun and fundraising alike.
