Three students who completed their Gold Duke of Edinburgh awards last year have been presented with their certificates and gold insignia by Prince Philip at St James Palace. Joanna Hall, Elizabeth Treece (not pictured) and Isobel West, who left the school last Summer after their A levels, attended the ceremony on 26 February.
Headteacher, Mrs Kathryn Pullen was also presented to Prince Philip and received a framed certificate confirming the school as a Directly Licensed Centre for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award programme.
Joanna and Isobel were joined by another Gold Award recipient Dora Roughan at a reception held at the school in the afternoon Bianca Miller’s visit to the school.
In total seven students achieved their Gold Award this year.
