Year 1 spent today visiting the Tate Modern on the banks of the river Thames. Building on their recent experiences of paper quilling and texture exploration, pupils had the opportunity to participate in a trail to seek out different applications of text, collage and colour amongst the gallery collection. From Whaaam! by Roy Lichtenstein to The Green Donkey by Marc Chagall, Nataragia by Bridget Riley and The Snail by Henri Matisse pupils were richly immersed in a spectrum of colour and pattern. Thank you to the parents who supported the trip.
