On Thursday, we had the honour of hosting Mrs. Katie Frade, Specialist Option Leader in Textile Craft from UAL (University of the Arts London), who is also parent at Sydenham High. She came to share advice on careers in the creative sector with our art students, and some of the options and programs offered by their university.

She explained the benefits of the Foundation Diploma in Art and Design and how our students can explore their creative practices in various art and design disciplines. She also discussed how this program can support their progression to undergraduate studies.

During her visit, we had the opportunity to ask Mrs. Frade questions about admission criteria, career opportunities, and we had the chance to see some of the amazing creative works produced by her students. She also spent time with our Year 13 to advise their portfolios. It was a genuine privilege for all of us.
