The significance of maintaining positive mental health, alongside physical well-being, has never been more crucial. Our co-curricular programme is divided into three strands: Mind, Body, and Soul, where we encourage pupils to participate in a variety of clubs each term.
Every term, we dedicate a day to Mind, Body, and Soul activities, during which pupils are exempt from their regular timetable. The objective is for everyone to explore new experiences beneficial to their overall well-being.
In a recent Mind, Body, and Soul Day, our Year 7 students visited Tate Modern to immerse themselves in inspiring art and engage in mindful sketching, resulting in some remarkable creations. Our Years 8-10 and Year 12 students had the opportunity to partake in diverse activities, ranging from an ‘Exotic Animal Encounter’ to a Self-Defence programme, learning British Sign Language, pizza making, and calligraphy. We extend special thanks to Ms. Dodds, our Assistant Head of Enrichment, for her dedication and organisation in coordinating the programme. On the day, we embraced new challenges and experiences, stepping outside our comfort zones. Mrs. Geldeard even had a memorable moment with a white snake around her neck, embodying the motto ‘Fear nothing’!
